Serious effects of plastic bags on our 

environment:

The effects of plastic bags on environment are really devastating.Plastic bags are non-biodegradable.The chemical structure of most plastic renders them resistant to many natural processes of degradation and as result  they are slow to degrade.Together these two factors have led to a wight prominenod  of plastic pollution. Plastic pollution can affect water-ways and oceans.

Effect on human life;

Toxic chemicals leach out of plastic and found in the blood and tissue of nearly all of us . exposure to them is linked to cancers, birth-defects,impaired immunity,endocrine disruption and other ailment.there have been claims that chemicals in plastic can leach into food or drink and cause cancer.in particular, there have been rumours about chemicals called Bis-phenol A (B.P.A)  and dioxins.

Hoax emails have spread warnings about dioxins being released when plastic containers are re-used heated or frozen. 

Effects on ocean;

The use of plastic is the main cause of destruction of our ecosystem.An estimated 100,000 marine animals die each year from suffocating on or ingesting bags. Plastic bags in our oceans are a source of dioxin and other pollutants that are changing marine habitats and polluting  our food chain.

Researches;

A recent study by the Eilen Mac Arthur foundation and the world economic forum claims that the equivalent of one dump truck full of plastic enter the ocean every minute.

Scientists estimate that there will see more  plastic in the ocean then fish by 2020 unless we drastically change plastic habits.

according to newer research every year  in seas is seeing about 8 times more plastic in just 4 years as compared to recent years.

for a long time , paper bags were considered a more environmental alternative.Because paper bags are bio - degradable as compare to plastic bags. therefore paper bags are good for friendly environment.

 if you think you have thrown bags away  remember there is no  away :every bags you have ever thrown away is stored in land fill somewhere  so, please  , don not  throw bags . the  best thing to do would be to use reuse able grocery bags and help  to stop the destruction of our eco- system .
